Who we are

Angelos Kaklamanis

Angelos Kaklamanis studied French literature at the University of Athens. Then, he realized his postgraduate studies in professional translation and conference interpreting at the University of Strasbourg. Moreover, he was awarded a scholarship by the State Scholarship's Foundation (I.K.Y). Today, he is PhD candidate at the department of International and European Studies at Panteion University of Athens.

He works in the fields of interpreting and translation as freelancer in Greece and abroad. Furthermore, he has offered his services in the framework of the 4th European Social Forum. He speaks English, French, Italian and Romanian. 

Maria Kouneli

Maria Kouneli studied Conference Interpreting and Translation at the University of Trieste in Italy, where she graduated with honours. She speaks English, Italian, French and Slovene. She has been working in the field of interpreting and translation as a freelancer since 2005.

She has been closely working with private companies, private institutions as well as with translation and interpreting bureaus in Greece and abroad. Moreover, she has completed her Music Studies (Musicianship Diploma, Piano Diploma) and is about to finish her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Athens. 

 

Despoina Benetou

Despoina Benetou was born and grew up in Brussels. 

She studied French Literature at the University of Athens and realized her postgraduate studies in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Mons - Hainaut in Belgium. She has been working in the field of interpreting and translation as a freelancer since 1996. 

She has been working closely with public and private institutions and has been a permanent collaborator of the French Institute of Athens (I.F.A.) and the Hellenic Pasteur Institute since 2003. 

She speaks French and English. 

Vasilis G. Triantafyllou

Vasileios Triantafyllou has been working in the fields of interpreting, translation and teaching as a freelancer for the last thirty five years.  

He is Conference Interpreter, member of A.I.I.C. and cooperetes with the European Parliament & the European Commission as a Freelance Translator.

He is the founder of the website www.aii.gr.

He has been working as a Professor of Italian Language and Literature. Moreover, he has been Director of Studies at private Foreign Language Schools and Private Institutions.  

 

Dimitris Psarras

Dimitris Psarras studied Translation and Interpreting in France and in Greece. He speaks French, Spanish, Catalan and English. 

As freelancer, he has collaborated with renowned organizations such as the Cervantes Institute, the Spanish Embassy in Athens, the Ramon Llull Institute and the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, private companies and publishing houses. He has also worked with translation and interpreting bureaus in Greece and abroad.

Along with Maria Chatziemmanouil, he is the co-founder of the theatre website www.teatropasion.gr dedicated to the Catalan and Spanish theatre. He has translated more than twenty five theatrical plays from Spanish, Catalan and French, many of which have been published, played or presented in form of stage reading. He collaborates with the e-magazine www.pragmatikotita.gr. Moreover, he was writing for two years a personal column in the most important e-magazine about theatre in Spain www.artezblai.com.
